Crowns & Bridges

Dental crowns are the most frequently used restorations, and they allow our team to repair even severely damaged teeth to their full form and function. A crown can be crafted from a number of materials including gold, porcelain bonded to metal, and ceramic. Regardless of the material chosen, patients should plan to visit our office at least two times to complete their dental crown restoration. During an initial visit, we prepare the tooth, capture bite impressions for the dental lab, and place a temporary crown. Once the lab has crafted the custom restoration, patients return to exchange their temporary for the final dental crown. We use versatile dental crown restorations in a number cases including:

Dentures & Partials

Patients who have suffered extensive tooth loss may want to consider partial or full dentures. The partials are composed of a gum colored base molded to fit between remaining teeth. The base supports several replacement teeth, and it is held in position with metallic clasps. A full denture is molded to fit snugly against the gums, and this tight fit creates natural suction that holds the denture in position. Dental implant supported varieties are also available.

Root Canal Therapy

Root canal therapy is necessary when tooth decay or damage reaches the inner pulp layer of teeth where the nerve system is housed. The resulting toothache can be quite painful, but root canal therapy relieves this pain and restores the full strength and function of teeth. The procedure starts with the drilling of a small hole through the top of the tooth, and we extract the damaged pulp and nerve through this access hole. Then, we refill the tooth, seal the access hole, and in some cases, we recommend the placement of a dental crown to protect the treated tooth.

Tooth Extractions

In some cases, the best option to keep smiles whole and healthy is to extract one or more teeth. We typically try to preserve natural dental structure, but tooth removal is helpful in a variety of situations including:

Dr. Gonzalez and his team have the experience and skill to perform pain free tooth extraction in our Teague, TX office.
